BIBLE REFERENCE: (Mark 1:35-39)  "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed... ‘Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.’" (Mark 1:35, 38)

Introduction:

Jesus modeled a life of divine priority—seeking God first, obeying His will, and fulfilling His purpose. Like Christ, we must intentionally put Him at the center of our lives, letting His love and righteousness guide us.

Key Points:

  1. Intentional Surrender – Making Christ our priority means deliberately putting Him first in our thoughts, actions, and decisions (Matt. 6:33).
  2. Christ-Centered Living – He must be the foundation of our lives, shaping how we love others and seek His guidance (Mark 12:30-31).
  3. Purpose-Driven Like Jesus – Jesus prioritized God’s mission above comfort (Mark 1:38). We must align our lives with God’s purpose.
  4. Follow His Steps – Walk as Jesus did—in prayer, obedience, and service (1 Pet. 2:21).
  5. Righteous Through Him – Our righteousness comes from God, not our strength (2 Cor. 5:21).
  6. Obedience Over Sacrifice – True priority means obeying Christ, even when it’s hard (John 14:15).
  7. Die to Self – Crucify fleshly desires to live fully for God (Gal. 5:24).
  8. Speak Faith – Confess God’s promises over your life (Prov. 18:21).
  9. Self-Check – Are you truly following Christ? (Luke 9:23).
  10.  Spiritual Discipline – Prioritize prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and service (Acts 2:42).
  11. Seek & Lack Not – Those who seek God lack no good thing (Ps. 34:10).
  12. God-Guided Decisions – Commit every plan to Him (Prov. 3:5-6).
  13. Trust His Timing – Wait on the Lord; His ways are perfect (Isa. 40:31).
  14. Eliminate Distractions– Like Joseph and Daniel, stay focused on God’s call (Phil. 3:13-14).

Closing Challenge:

Will you reorder your life to make Christ your first love (Rev. 2:4)? Let go of distractions, embrace His will, and let His fire reignite your passion for Him.

Prayer:

“Father, align my desires with Yours. Deepen my prayer life, rekindle Your fire in me, and give me courage to release every distraction. Help me seek Your kingdom above all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Action Step:

Today, carve out intentional time with God—pray, read His Word, and obey His leading.

“But seek first His kingdom…” (Matthew 6:33)
