‎Introduction:

‎In a world overflowing with information and human opinions, we are often left confused. But true wisdom—the kind that leads to an excellent and fulfilled life—is not a human invention. It is a divine gift. The world’s wisdom often leads to chaos, but God’s wisdom leads to life, peace, and purpose.

‎I. What is God’s Wisdom?

‎True wisdom is the correct application of God’s knowledge. It’s more than just knowing facts; it’s living out God’s truth. It begins with the “fear of the Lord”—a conscious reverence for God that guides our choices and causes us to depart from evil (Job 28:28). Unlike earthly wisdom, which is often selfish and chaotic, the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (James 3:17).

‎II. Why Do We Need It?

‎Wisdom is the principal thing we must seek. It is the immovable foundation for our lives (Matthew 7:24). It delivers happiness, helps us resist temptation, enables us to make good decisions, and even gives us the right words in moments of opposition (Luke 21:15). It is the spiritual ingredient that makes every aspect of our lives colourful and victorious, as seen in the lives of Daniel and Solomon.

III. How Do We Get It?

‎God is the source, and He gives generously to those who ask (James 1:5). We obtain this wisdom by:

  1. Admitting our need and asking in faith.

‎2. Fearing God and living humbly before Him.

‎3. Immersing ourselves in Scripture, which is the ultimate source of wisdom (2 Timothy 3:15).

‎4. Pursuing a deeper relationship with God, knowing that true wisdom is rooted in knowing Him.

‎Conclusion:

‎Don’t settle for the foolishness of earthly wisdom. Seek the wisdom that comes from above. It will distinguish you, guide you, and establish you. Make it your number one priority. Get wisdom.
